A CRM in a municipal data center may not be the first application that comes to mind for municipal service providers. However, as a service provider, a public sector data center is also under competitive pressure.

As a service provider to the public sector, the municipal data center in Baden-Württemberg supports public authorities and government-related institutions with data center services.

Procedure

In this project, in addition to consolidating existing systems, we also digitized previously manual processes.

In the first step, we implemented the data model to create a consolidated database for accounts and contacts. We then migrated data from various sources into the new data model.

In subsequent steps, we were able to digitalize the associated contractual relationships and processes that had previously been orchestrated manually.

We then migrated existing digital processes that had been created with Lotus Notes to the new solution.

Low-code CRM in the municipal data center

As a technical approach, we used SharePoint and the BPA Solutions Framework to create the data model and the application interface.

SharePoint provides the basis for data and workflow modeling, BPA provides the low-code environment to create interfaces, navigation and relational dependencies.
